Just a couple of pic of the weather station I made for my dad for Christmas. I was given the piece of wood and have no idea what kind it is but it lent itself well for this project. There's a couple of close ups showing the grain that I thought looked great.

Thanks. Yes I got the instruments at the Rockler on-line store. Very reasonable in price. Just wish I knew what kind of wood it was, just for my own knowlodge. Anybody have any ideas?

You know I made a clock that looked like that. differant shape though. It was made from Florida Cypress.
