Do you have a favorite brand of moisture meter?
What features should I look for if buying a new meter?

Even though none of the pros agreed with this hobbiest, you might check out this thread

A while back I found a nicely written review of moisture meters on the web. The author compared about 15 different meters. His recommendation was an Eletrophysics meter...which I bought and I am quite happy with it. Electrophysics is a smaller Canadian company. In the review, this meter scored consistently in the top. If memory serves me right, I paid about $130.
I think I still have the review article...somewhere. If interested I can try to find it.

Rob,
Note to my earlier post: The review was actually in FWW.

If interested, I have a copy of that FWW article I can send via email in Adobe .PDF format.

I have a Wagner pin-less, but think that I'd be better served long-term with one that does both pin and pin-less measurments. Pinless in the shop to avoid any surface damage to milled materials and pin for measuring "out on the pile". Both methods have purpose, IMHO.
