Starrett level update

Just thought you guys(and gals) might like to know about the level I posted about a while back. I emailed Starrett and got a reply within the week that said to calibrate it would cost 36 dollars!! Thats more than two times what I bought it for, so I think its just going to have to be only pretty for a while.

Ryan,
Sometimes I get a used tool for a low price and it is fabulous. Sometimes it is in worse shape than I thought. Ebay is a good way to move on. I like to present the tool as is, being honest about any deficiencies. It's surprising sometimes that one can actually make a small profit, rather than keep looking at a dissappointing purchase. Just a thought, anyway.
