This piece of maple came from Frank Kobilsek in a wood exchange. I definately came out on the winning end of this trade. This piece measures 7-3/4" tall and about 6-1/2" dia. This wood has so much character the photos don't do it justice. Finished with wipe on gel poly and beall buffed. As always you comments and critiques are accepted. Thanks for looking.

That wood is something else, and your form is right on. You should be very pleased with this one!

Awesome Keith!
Love the form, but I'm fond of that shape for a vase!
Ad that wood just takes it over the top!

That is some amazingly wrinkled wood. Great form and finish!

Very nice. I think our trade was fair, I gave you wood I got for free from a co-worker and you sent me wood you got from your co-worker.

This maple looks so nice end grain that I hate to make bowls out of it.

Good Job.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I wanted something simple to show the grain/figure and once I started turning I knew where it needed to go:) . Frank, you're right, except you could get several small bowls from a piece like this. Thanks again.
