Thanks for the pictures Niki,

I have a set of bar gauge heads from Lee Valley for measuring diagonals but think I will add a dowel on the end.

Some great ideas there, Niki. I appreciate you sharing them. I especially like the idea of the long dowel, which allows the beam to clear intermediate structures.
