An interesting evening

The guest speaker this evening at our local turners club was Jamie Donaldson. Jamie is a turner and professional photographer and gave us lots of tips for photographing our turnings without breaking the bank.

Jamie is a great guy! I spent some time with him at the AAW symposium a few years ago and learned a lot about photography. Between him and John Lucas (the other one from TN who is also a turner and photographer, not RI), there was a lot to learn. Jamie turns some interesting stuff, too. I'm sure he also mentioned "Studly"...his Stubby lathe... :)

One thing that isn't mentioned in the article is the background material. It's a roll up window shade with a matt white finish.
