These are a few ornament that I have done this year. Some have already gotten away without any pics though. For some reason I am having a hardtime getting a decent image of these.
Most of these were some experiment of shape, color, finish, method or a combination of of them. This was also my first captive ring. I managed not to stink it up too much.

Very well done Kevin! How about the scoop on the types of woods you used?

Thanks!
From left to right. Walnut and Carob, Maple Burl and spalted Maple and curly Maple, Madrona(?) and spalted Maple, Mesquite (died red) and Maple, Maple and Walnut, Mesquite and mystery wood, lastly curly Maple and spalted Maple burl.
Most of the woods have Danish oil save the Maple that I wanted to keep lighter and the mesquite that I died with a prismacolor marker.

Very nice Kevin!!! I like birdhouse #2 (middle one. first pic) awesome!

Ya know...when I'm having trouble with pics, I throw a black background in there. Seems to help with lighting or contrast or something. Don't know why.
