This one is from a Claro walnut stump, it is approx 9 1/2 in dia ( started at 10 inches) by 3 inch deep, is a commission from a co-worker's wife who saw a give a way and wanted one just like it only bigger( was one I made for the guy I got the walnut from) finished with 4 coats of wipe on poly, 600 gr sanded then lite coat with Minwax finish wax and buffed with wool buffing pad at low speed. He came to pick it up before I could get my " photo set up " so this is the best I could do, rather orange from my breakfast counter.

Very nice piece, Paul and that wood is outstanding! Your finishing method almost gives it a true 3-D look...Real deep. Well done! :)

You got john, I wish you could see the purple and cream in this stump section. I want to keep it all for my self.
