I have a young niece and nephew I was thinking about buying a kaleidoscope kit and turning the egg. But was wondering how it worked. I know how a typical kaleidoscope works, by turning the tube. But the egg kit I saw I couldn't figure out if it turns or if the picture stays the same.
I was looking here:

While I am asking and if anyone knows, what is the "wand kaleidoscope"?

Jon:
I make a lot of these kaleggoscopes. They are very popular. One end of the setup has 2 plexiglas disks between which are sandwiched some coloured plastic beads. You can either pack them loosely so that as you turn the egg the picture changes or put a few more beads in and give it a shake when you want it to change. I prefer the later way because i think the more colour the better.

Micheal, thanks so very much. They look like such a good stocking stuffer as my niece and nephew along with my sister and brother in law and parents spend Christmas night here to better enjoy Christmas morning together unwrapping gifts. Really appreciate the information, will be ordering this kit tomorrow.
