Good day

Tom Finnie presented the idea to me after he saw the "45° frame cutting sled".

But I took the pictures myself…:D :D :D

It’s already installed on my sled instead of the plastic triangle.

I leave it to your imagination what you can do with it.

Regards

Very nice. I like that little "twist". I've actually been needing to make some triangles

I love the idea to use the plastic triangle as a template for the router, Thanks!

I am guessing that just like framing squares there are good and poor plastic triangles. I am also guessing that the ones desiged for drafting (as opposed to dollar store specials) might be more acurate.

How would I check the triangle first?

Thank you Mike and Benjimin

Benjimin
Please look at this post how to check it
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=45557

Just take with you some straight edge (or from the shop), put 2 triangles on the straight edge (like I do on the picture showing 2 plywood triangles against the straight edge), if they fit perfectly, they are square.

Another idea is to "copy" the triangle from the 1/4" ply to 1/2" or 3/4" make some holes for clamps and use them during carcass gluing to keep the boards square.
