I've been hanging around here for quite some time now reading and viewing.
I think It's my turn to post something. Here's a covered jar turned from a
box elader burl. The rim and lid are cherry. With the lid it's about 7 inches tall. This is number eight in a series of small burl jars.

Phil I love the form and wood. What is it sanded to? and is there a finish?:)

It's sanded to 400 grit and finished with walnut oil and Mahoney wax. The photo is a bit grainy I should try again.

Phil I love the form and finish. I to use Mahoney's Walnut Oil a lot. Really a good looking jar. Would like the see the others.

I agree with Bernie, I would like to see the others. Is this piece about 3 1/2 inches round. Like it alot! I would use some kind of oil to finish it, should really pop it!

Great looking piece - a beautiful piece of wood and you put a great shape to it. Another vote for seeing the rest.

That's a gorgeous piece of wood. I also like the way the lid makes a nice smooth transition to the box. Good job!
