Are there good online sources that sell production cabinet doors with variety of sizes and
styles? I want to replace the cabinet doors in my garage and just
install on the same faceframe. I guess its a kind of refacing I want to
do myself.thanks for any tips

Hello,

I bookmarked this webpage a few weeks ago when I was researching cabinets.

Note - I've not ordered anything from them or dealt with them so I can't vouch for their quality or service. I bookmarked the page simply because they had resaonable prices and a decent selection.

I have used these folks and been very happy with their products:

I ordered 4 doors from Rockler.com last year. They had a decent variety, and for what I ordered, they were the cheapest. I was happy with the quality.

I actually wanted to order from Decore.com since it would have been a perfect match to the house -- the cabinetmaker had used them when we built the house. Unfortunately, their website said that I had to be a contractor or cabinet shop in order to order. I'm neither, and I've lost track of the original cabinet maker.

Another option is scherrs.com, but I found them a little expensive.

Richard, contact Decore and explain the situation...perhaps they will work with you considering. When I was doing my kitchen, I wanted to buy by drawer boxes to save time. The vendor I was referred to by my cabinetmaker neighbor turned up their noses...at first...but after explaining my project, my shop environment and my skills, they agreed to sell to me. Many of these outfits are trying to avoid dealing "at retail" for the weekend DIY crowd, but are respectful of serious hobbiests/DIY folks once your case is proven. Some, however, have contractual obligations with their customer base to only sell to contractors.

We use Decorative Specialties for our doors at the cabinet business, they have a wide selection of door styles in many different species. Also they have better pricing than many of the other big companies. I don't know where you are but they have locations in both CA and NC and will ship anywhere.
