Cherry bowl 10 ½” x 4” x ¾”. Two coats of Watco Natural and then buffed. Hope to make a couple more – sort of a set.

Well done, cherry is one of those woods the white colored sap woods make a great contrast with the heartwood. Very nice bowl and thanks for sharing.

Extremely nice finish! I like the rims thick like that. It looks like you could have taken a good bit more off the bottom on the inside, although that could also be an optical illusion--dunno.:confused:


I've never tried Watco. Guess I better start!:)
It's one of the easiest finishes you'll ever use. 'Course, you gotta get that lathe up and running first! Git R Done!:p

Mark, just to let you know that the photo is misleading - bowl is a fairly consistant 3/4".

Steve, I like it! Lots of people think that "thin is in", but I'll take something with a little substance to it, in this application, any time. Good work!
