I saw one of these on another forum and new instantly that I had to make one for my niece or nephew. A quick and easy and satisfying project.
Ash tracks, walnut towers, beeswax and mineral oil finish. 3"x13"x10" tall.
More details are on my web page (http://www.imaging.robarts.ca/%7Eamulder/wood/p.marble/).

...continued.
Of course, the first one was so quick and easy, and I still had leftover bits, so I had to make another one.
But not the same, naturally.
Walnut top and bottom, Oak uprights, and Ash marble tracks, plus other assorted bits.
Oh yeah, and a whole bunch of thinking, staring into space, and head scratching as I figured out what to do next.
Couldn't use the paste wax/oil finish on this one, as there are too many nooks and crannies. So I fell back to brushing on shellac. Could have used a spray rig!
More details on my web page referenced above.
Happy Week!

It doesn't use marbles but my Gum Ball machine is along the same lines. I made this one many years ago and it has been real popular :)

Art, I really like the second one, think I will do one for the grand kids when they are a little older.
