22-44 Pro Drum Problem

I've had a P'max 22-44 Pro for a number of years, and it's always been great. However, when I went to sand a wide glue up the other day, I found that my drum is about 1/8" low at the outboard end. I've tried following the manual directions for adjusting the outboard bearing assembly to bring the drum up, however, when I retighten things up, I've still got the 1/8" drop.

Remembering that this is the 22-44 Pro, not the 22-44 (or "Plus") with tilt adjustment jack bolts back at the inboard head, has anyone here had and solved this problem with their "pro" model?
