Was going to wait and ask as a Christmas preasent but then realized I needed a good jigsaw to complete a project for the LOML, the elcheepo B&D just would not cutit anymore. So I picked up the Bosch 1590 EVSK. HD had it for$159.00 and did a Lowes price match and with a 10% HD coupon ended up getting it for $135.00 :D

Yeahhhh, baby! Congrats! I've got the 1591 just because I prefer the barrel grip. What a saw; I had never run a good jigsaw except for here and there at the shows where most things seem great. After putting some time on it I can see why folks reach for this tool more and more often. Money very well spent IMHO.

You're gonna love that thing. I know I do.

I just used mine this morning to cut sheet metal for the first time. I had to cut out two 3"x3" notches in the corners of some steel shelving I was putting up. I think they are 16 ga. steel (3/32" or so thick and folded over on the edges). I used the metal blade that came with the saw. It was smooth and easy to control, just like it is when cutting wood. :)
