I currently have a 3 hp 220V 1 phase Jet cabinet saw. Should I have any concerns about my ability to hook up the SawStop 3hp 220V 1 phase cabinet saw to the same electrical service? Is there any significant difference in the power requirements for the SawStop over and beyond my current Jet?

Hi Glen,
I am no expert, but can see no reason why you should have electrical
trouble. My 3hp single phase SawStop runs on 10 guage wire to a
30 amp breaker, at 240 volts. (meets my local code)
If I recall correctly, I used 2 wire cable plus ground. The much more
spendy 3 wire plus ground was unnecessary, as there were only 3 wires
in the saw junction box. (copper prices are raging)

I have seen mention of needing to feed this saw 'clean' power due
to the electronics. I have read of specific cases where a filter was
included to minimize noise on the circuit. This was a momentary
concern for me (do I have clean enough power to be protected?)
which passed as soon as I fired up the new black beauty saw and
have had no reason to reconsider this possible issue.

Congrats on the new machine,
Be well,
Walt

ps the SS has a power disconnect switch on the lower left, handy...

amprage requirements should be on the motor plate...

I unplugged my PM 66 3 HP and plugged in my SawStop and it was up and running!

I believe that saw stop recommends that you wire it grounded but with out the neutral.
Check with SS!!!!!:confused:Bob
