HI

Below are pictures of a White Ash Lamp I made the other week it is 11 1/2" by 4 1/2" finished with sanding sealer and wax polish.

It sold in the first couple of hours but she liked it so much she wants me to make another one for her. I told her that it would be it's brother and not it's twin but I would get it as near as possible.

It seemed like a good idea at the time but not so sure now.

John a very nice lamp, one of turners in our club does laminated lamps almost exclusely and does very well with them at the craft shows.

Very impressive! I can see why it didn't last long. Very elegant. Items like this are why I can't take the wife to any shows, she'll see how much better everyone elses turnings are.:)

That's a nice simple form that would work easily in many rooms. I think you've hit on a great piece. Why the reluctance to do another?

Thank you for your comments they are appreciated.

I was reluctant to do another one as I had got the form just right and the grain was beutiful.

I haven't done the brother for this one yet as I am having trouble finding the wood but I did a couple in Sycamore last week and took them to a craft show at the weekend and they sold within the first hour. So as soon as I get the wood I will fill the order.

I think these will become a regular item for craft fairs now.
