Any suggestions for a good bowl tool rest that will fit in the jet mini?

Ben, there are several good bowl tool rests out there as long as the shaft is the correct diameter. I don't know what that measurement is for the Jet Mini. My suggestion is to look at the Sorby Modular Tool Rest System. You can purchase the correct shaft for your current lathe, and when you decide to get a bigger one the system will work on that one as well; you'll only need to purchase the correct size shaft. This system offers straight and curved tool rests for various applications. Several places sell it, here is one:

I just take a sketch or picture of what I need to the local welding shop. They make whatever I need for $10.00.
