What would you use for the finish on kaleidoscopes? Since they will be handled it need to hold up well and I think is should seal the grain. Being new to turning I am open to suggestions.
This has been a good exercise so far, I have basically learned to turn a box, with 2 tops.
I had success drilling the mirror chamber hole which I asked about in thread: http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=45874 using a Bormax bit with extension. Note that the Bormax bit will not fit a 3/8" forsner extension, and you must purchase the very pricey Bormax extension ($28.00).
