Hi, I built a white oak bookcase for my brother and before he had time to put the finish on it, one of his RC airplanes dripped oil on part of the face frame. Does anyone have any ideas on how to try and get the stain out?

Thanks
Chris

Hmm...the best option might be to oil the whole face frame with BLO as a first finishing step, rather than struggle to try and remove something that is soaked into the edge. R/C fuel is either castor oil or a synthetic or a blend of the two, depending on the brand/formula...I'm not sure what would "Draw it out".

I have no idea if this will work, but it does on work on stone counter tops. Go to local stone counter top dealer and ask for a " Poltis". It is a paste product that you smear on the stain and wait 24-48 hrs. The poltis pulls stain out and dries, then scrap or wipe away.

Good Luck
