Hey guys Just wanted show a picture of one that I have finished up this week...
Walnut- 9" dia - 5.5" tall
sanded to 600 and finished with tung oil --- no buffing wheel yet though...
I found out that I take horrible pics so please take note

Great job Chris !! I love Walnut and tried one NE with it, needless to say it ended up in the firewood pile.:)

Chris, great looking bowl! One question: How did you turn the foot? Use a glue block, a recess or what? Curious as I have yet to turn anything natural edge yet and like to get the info from those that already excel at it.

well I have turned about a hundred NE's so far and have tried all three ways (tenon, recess, glue block) and so far I have found the tenon to be my favorite way -- on big bowls
generally I start out by turning between centers and then turn tenon and pop it in the chuck --
the glue block for me has been the least favorite because most of my turnings are in the green stage ---
