Here are some doin's from the group at Jenkins. The bear is a, 2x4 contest entry, that Wolf carved. You turners take notice of Larry Hancock's hat. I know it's simple stuff, but I posted it anyway. You weren't there? Wish you had been.

That dragon was done by Wolf Kiessling if I'm not mistaken.

Photographs can't do that dragon justice, it is awe-inspiring in person.

I was and am still amazed at the level of amassed talent that was present at the Texas BBQ. You see folks names and their messages, but have no idea of the greatness that is just across the keyboard from you.
Kudos to all that displayed items and thank you for being such wonderful folks to boot :-)

If anyone is interested in seeing a better shot of that dragon, just go to my website. It is pictured on the Gallery page. The pix are in thumbnail format but if you click on the pic, you'll get a larger version. If you're interested in seeing my latest dragon, go to the Featured Work page and you see pix of it, including the stages of completion. IMO, it is an even better dragon. Web site URL is as follows:

Some mighty fine work there! I especially like the carved bowl in the first picture...as well as everything else...

Mike's observations about the quality of work at these events are not unusual. So many folks do incredible things with wood.
