After seeing and admiring a few of the Andy and Chrystine Hoyt collaborations I decided to see if my wife would like to take a crack at painting something on some of my stuff.

The first one is a small Ponderosa Pine bowl that she painted on the rim.
The second is a Locust bowl that she calligraphied a quotation on the ring around the outside.

The quotation is..."The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk, and then timber. The tree is a slow enduring force straining to win the sky."
Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Wisdom of the Sands

Very pretty and nicely done by BOTH of you.!!!! Now all I gotta do is convince the LOML that she needs to learn how to paint like that.  :D
