Jean told me to only show these pics to Sophie...but I didn't wanna clog up his inbox...so you can all look. :p
This first pic is of the man responsible for my poor wife's willingness to subject herself to my pitiful instruction on the lathe. That's right...it's Larry Hancock. :( Here he is with the 'instruction bowl', trying to teach Ace the right way to turn after I started him off wrong.

They whittled on it some more at the BBQ, but it was unfinished when it came home with us. I thought it would make a good practice bowl for her. She wanted to try out the various chisels and see what they did. Now, Jean's one of those lefties that pretty much can't do anything with the proper hand, but Sophie convinved her that he overcame his left-handedness and turns okay. She didn't kill herself (or me), and is right proud of 'her' bowl.
