I purchased a Re-manufactured Rotozip for $50. I do some metal work & find it handy to cut meal & help with the finishing & getting in to grind or de-burr.

Bart - I'm intrigued by your talking about using a roto-zip for metal. All kinds or just non-ferrous?

I just bought a (very cheap - $10) angle grinder and some cut-off wheels for this purpose. Worked great on 2" x 1/8" angle iron, but man - what a mess it makes of your shop. Those showers of sparks represent a cascade of tiny pieces of steel grit that get all over everything.

I'll be getting a bandsaw Real Soon Now, and was planning on getting a metal-cutting blade for it, but I'm curious how well the roto-zip handles these chores.
