I'm pretty sure this is Claro Walnut, the pic doesn't show all the curl that's in it. I turned the collar and foot from Macassar Ebony to compliment the stripes in the Walnut. 6 1/2" diameter by 6 1/2" tall. Buffed Antique oil finish.

Travis,
You think if I send you my junk tools that you could teach them to do work just half as good has yours and then send them back to me?
Great Piece

Travis, what's it like to never sleep?:D

Another beauty! The collar and foot do a nice job of bringing out the walnut grain.

Travis that is a beauty. I like the collar and foot. The LOML wants one like it. I told her I would try but Travis I may need some help.

Gorgeous, Travis. I like the way the grain is slightly tilted to the axis of the piece, lends a certain aesthetic tension to the piece, but just enough. Was that your intent?
The ebony does indeed go well here. I always look forward to your posts...

Thanks everyone. Bernie, don't know how much help I could be. I'll be here for moral support. ;)

Fabulous achievement! Such a warm feeling to look and admire. Congratulations and I hope some collector is seeing this piece and must have it for his/her collection. It really does belong in someone's museum. Phil

That one is just "right" in every aspect. A great finish, too. Very nice work and a nice pic, too. Congrats!
