Just finished a few things for Xmas this year and wanted to post the pictures. I constructed 5 Jewelry Trays using scrap walnut, Cherry and Curly Maple. Finished in wipe on Poly. They will go to my Son and 3 Son-In-Laws. Built the Tea Boxes after visiting a local Tea Store in Round Rock. Wood used is Walnut and Soft Maple. Finish is about 5 coats of spray lacuer. These will go to a couple of the Daughters.

Mike, good on ya'! Already down with some Christmas gifts... that's quite an acomplishment. I really like the contrast between the maple and the walnut, especially on the dovetails. Nice job.

Very nice Mike! I have made a couple boxes for Christmas as well. Good thing I made them six months ago and stored them away. No time to do gifts right now with a kitchen remodel.
I enjoy your box work, keep them coming! The dovetails look great!

Excellent work Mike,
I always have intentions of starting Christmas gifts early but always end up in the shop working through the night near crunch time;)
