What saw do you have Larry? If you have less than a 3hp cab saw, a good 24T thin kerf is alot easier on the motor.

The best deal I know of on a good TK ripper is the German made Leitz/Irwin WWing Series 24T FTG TK for $11 plus shipping. Even if you want a full kerf he has 8" 24T rippers for $12, and 10" 10T rippers for $10.

The Freud LM72 is on sale from Amazon for $45 shipped.

If you're looking for top shelf, Holbren has the Ridge Carbide for $80 shipped:

Can't go wrong with any of these IMO.

Saw is a Delta contractor's.

Those Leitz/Irwin 24T TK rippers should work great on your saw....get two at that price! They're a limited supply closeout that are identical to the HO Schumacher & Sohn blades that retail for ~ $47...they're also made by Leitz.

The Freud TK ripper is the LU87R010....$31.50 shipped from Amazon.

Thanks Dave and Scott. I took your advice and got the Freud TK LU87R from Amazon and can say it is one sweet blade. On my contractor saw it rips through wet fir 2x4's without skipping a beat.
