This is for checking the cutterhead in relation to the outfeed bed on my Delta X5 6" jointer. I'm trying to find a feeler gauge that measures .060 inches. Tried the local auto parts stores, and online - closest I could find was .054".

Any help would be appreciated.

Enco is a good place for machinist-type stuff. www.use-enco.com

Just checked their site. They don't list anything that thick.

Here's one http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PARTPG=INLMKD&PMPXNO=2612443&PMAKA=615-6205 . You could use .019"+.020"+.021" to get .060".

Yes, Enco is a good place for that kind of thing. I think I bought my set from grizzly.

This is how I've always done it and seen it done with feeler gauges. You have a set, and if you need a size not in it, you just add 'em up. My spark plugs on my trucks are 0.042", so I use 0.020" and 0.022" feelers together to check them (I know you're supposed to use the wire ones...but it's close enough).
