HI

I have been a member here for a few months and posted a couple of times and visited to read for sometime before that so I thought I should introduce myself.

I live in Peterborough England which is about 80 miles north of London. I have been turning for about 4 years and I took early retirement 5 years ago due to arthritis.

I turn a wide range of items both spindle and faceplate work and ranging in size from things about an inch long to platters and bowls about 18" in diameter, this is the largest my lathe will comftably take.

Below are some pictures of some items for the PP. :D

Birch burr candlestick 5" x 4"

Red Malee burr bowl cracks filled with copper & CA 7" x 2 1/2"
49497
49496

Sasafras bowl 4 3/4" x 2 1/2" some strange figuring on the inside looks a bit like a cat.
49499

Looking at the outiside I call it my cat & fish bowl.

HI

Thank you for your comments they are all much appreciated.

My current lathe is a draper, this one (http://www.drapertools-online.com/b2c/b2citmdsp.pgm?pp_skmno=63938) which isn't bad but I could do with something sturdier and bigger but that will have to wait until I win the lottery.:D

I also have a small Perform (http://www.axminster.co.uk/product-Perform-CCSL-Wood-Turning-Lathe-21733.htm) which looks just like some of the minis some off you have.

HI

No I haven't got in there yet one of the other turners in my club does though and does very well. I sell mainly through craft and gift fairs.

Thanks to all for your comments.
