Another Walnut Platter

Another platter from the old Walnut plank. This one is 13", the full width of the board including the bark (upper right side of top photo), 3/4" tall, about 3/16" thick. Top, side (for Andy), and bottom view. Second pic is a little better view of the top. I hope the bark edge doesn't break off.

Really good looking platter... that is a real nice piece of walnut. Is the bark edge very fragile??? Did you do anything to harden it? I Don't imagine CA would do much for such a large surface....

Nice platter Curt :D :D !!! what did you use for the finish? The ring around the top really sets it off .... I used some CA glue on a winged bowl that had a bit of bark on it and so far ( cross em) it has stayed on. :D
