I have a bosch bc004 that the dust. Openend it up just enough to see that it isn't the fuse.
Anyone ever fixed one?

Yeppers. Fixed a PC charger after ~5 yrs of abuse. I replaced an obviously blown cap, a fuse (took a little "doing" as I couldn't find the exact replacement), and I also replaced a transistor that looked like it had gotten hot. All told, I think I was less than 10 dollars into it, plus maybe a couple hours in disassembly, parts-hunting, soldering and re-assembly. A lot less than $75 for a new charger.

Nope, made one attempt 45 years ago when I was 5 and no one bothered to tell me that touching a metal screwdriver to both contacts was a bad thing.
Oh! Wait a minute, that was a bottle warmer not a battery charger! :)
Anyway, I never forgot the lesson, and there are only two solutions. Electrician or trash can!
