Two baby wholly monkeys from different areas that the locals shot the mothers and brought to town to sell . They were taken away and my wife is raising them. It will be several years before they will be big enough to let loose in a resort to start finding their way. Just little people with fur coats. It take a minimum of six years to be an adult.

Were the mothers sold for food or as tourist items?

The local indiginous peoples eat everything that moves in the jungle and after eating the mothers bring the young to town to be sold as pets or used in witchcraft. The tourists are very tightly controlled and dont do any damage.
