Hello all,
Got a bit excited yesterday. I got some free walnut from my grandfathers garage after his passing a few years ago. Since then I have been waiting for a good project. Well, I finally decided to build a PA spice box. I am going to use the walnut and some maple I have laying around (for the drawers). The MM-16 cut through the 9-10 inch walnut with no problems and the results were great. I do not have a drum sander so light passes with the planer for it down to 1/4 inch and 5/8 inch respectively (I think the worst board took 3 passes on the planer). All material is now uniform and I can work.
Maybe this can influence some bandsaw buying decisions. Saw was turned off and unplugged during photo for safety.
