refinishing the old wenge top

So what was wrong with the top and how are you refinishing it?

The table was mine and I made it about 6 years ago. The client that bought it wanted a forgiving durable surface. So I removed 3 coats of Tried and True and I am doing the General...Seal a Cell and Arm R Seal

Mark - you'll do the same scraping/sanding.....sequence as in your Newest Wenge Table??

I know the General Finishes say to use 320 grit between coats....but do you go finer and finer?

Will the General Seal a Cell and Arm R Seal leave the faded wenge color
intact. I love the look of the lighter color wenge top, its very attractive.

The ultraviolate light will lighten the color. Just like mahogany darkens, Paduk turs brown, walnut ,,amber....etc. So it will eventually lighten and go back to the lighter color. It is weird as you sand or scrape the wood gets more brown
