Too big for one, too small for the other, but too pretty a piece of wood not to make something from it. 4/4 Goncalo Alves reclaimed from the scrap bin, about 7", DO, Bealed, Ren. Wax. If I had it to do over, I'd shoot it with lacquer and hopefully seal a crack or two that developed after I finished the piece.

Gorgeous wood, really polishes up nice, and I think it looked better before I put the finish on it. The wood is much more open-grained than it appears at first glance. Not sure what to do about that next time.............

Looks great!!! wonderful job! I think its a plate... maybe specificaly a dessert plate?:D:D

Very nice desert plate Rich, I like the look of the finish gives it a class look.
