I bought a vacuum system from Johnny Tolly after Jim Becker's recommendation. Johnny is a wonderful fella and a pleasure to do business with. The problem I have is that I lose vacuum pressure after it goes though the morse taper. I purchased the Oneway vacuum adapter and vapor locks and drums. I have a leak somewhere I can't find. Johnny suggested making a washer from a butter tub but I'm sure I flubbed that up. I even tried plumber tape but nothing has changed. If I put my finger in the morse taper the pressure is 28lbs but if I use the chuck it goes down to 5.

Thanks for your help!

I have the same setup on my PM and from the same good guy. I use a plastic washer over the spindle and have plugged the set screw holes in the drum. Until I plugged the holes I had a leak. If you used the foam that came with the drum you have to keep the forming tool on the drum or it will also leak. Also keep close track of the "O" ring in the adapter. It likes to get lost every now and then.

Cheers

Gordon

Thank you for the help Gordon!
Did you make or buy the washer? Also, What did you plug it with?

Lost as usual,

Pete
