Ambrosia Maple Bowl

2nd of two made for a friend who gave me a bunch of the same wood. The deal was I get a bunch of blanks if I make him and his brother bowls from the wood. Would have ended up as fire wood otherwise.

IIRC 9x4 were the dimensions.

Bob,
Nice bowl, nice wood and obviously wonderful friend. I sometimes feel guilty when you get a pile of wood and then quickly return the favor to the donor, yet as you turn deeper into the pile later produce the truely outstanding pieces. So a year after the donor friend visits your house or sees you at a show with more pieces from his pile of wood that are so much better than the thank piece given.

I was over at Woodcrafters in Spokane and they have a couple of burls of this for $$$ , after seeing yours I wish i had purchased one as there is almost no way in this piney forest will I ever see one.... sigh ...Great looking bowl/s Bob, i are suitably impressed with your work !!! :D
