 I am getting ready to attach the top of my bakers rack. (microwave cabinet) The cabinet is made from oak and oak plywood. what would be the best way to attach it? I am sure folks will hold on to the table top to move it..

thanks for your help.

Hey Julie,

If I were doing this and I knew that folks would be moving this around by lifting on the edges of the top? I would cut and use some triangle pieces to put in each corner, glue and screw those to the top and then to the cabinet sides. I even may would use pocket screws and glue or even just the "Z" type fasteners if the top is solid wood to allow for wood movement.

I use desktop fastners from wwhardware.com part number KV1547
they mount from underneath they allow wood movement,, havn't had any clients say the top pulled off,,,,
