View Full Version : Need help finding a chair part

My wife wants me to build her an office chair - one of those that tilt and swivel, like the one in the attached picture.

To do that, I need the hardware that provides the tilting and swiveling. I found one at Van Dyke's Restorers (http://www.vandykes.com/product/02355058/) but it's a four leg and I'd prefer a five leg for stability.

I even thought of going to the Salvation Army Store and buying an old chair to get the hardware but I'd prefer to use new.

I'll appreciate any and all pointers or ideas.

just click on the part in the diagram you want in order to see more details. They have 4 and 5 leg hubs and bottom plates along with all the other components for both gas and manual mechanisms. Hope it helps.
