I know there are many other options, but I wondered if anyone has used this powerd dust mask offered by GarrettWade?

No, but I would also like to know if any one has tried it.

A battery powered fan in that size range isn't likely to develop the Delta-P needed to make any difference.

Besides the exercise of sucking air through a carbon filter is good for your lungs - - isn't it?? I like to think it is.
Well, is it?

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the fan.

I have a full-face shield with a fan to pull fresh air in. But the benefit of the fan is to prevent fogging the shield.

With a half mask, there is no shield to fog. I wonder what the fan is for. I think this dust mask is a solution searching for a prolem.

I've been using a 3-M half mask for a few years now. I never wish it had a fan.

I don't know anything about this either but I do know everytime I buy from GW it comes close to what they advertise.

They usually have good quality stuff like LV, however it does appear it may become pricey to use.
