Becky is getting us packed up and tomorrow morning we head for the plane!

Any of you who haven’t been to one of these get-together events don’t know what you’re missing. Even if you’re a lurker you’re all invited to attended one of these events and if it’s local to you that’s an even better reason to go. Spouses are also encouraged to go and I don’t know any that didn’t have a good time. It may seem strange to do something like this and if you told me five years ago when Becky and I held our first BBQ how popular these get-togethers would become I probably wouldn’t have believed it. Back then if you told someone that you were going to someone’s place that you only met over the internet they thought you were nuts. But now people even plan their vacations just to attend! Go here to see an article that our own Barb Siddiqui wrote for Popular Woodworking about these events.

I can’t wait to meet some of the folks that I haven’t met yet and I’m really looking forward to seeing my old friends that I have met.

If you want to attend this weekend just drop Steve Jenkins an email and let him know.

Have Fun Sophie, I can only enthusiastically second your recommendation to go to a gathering. Good chance to meet some fine folks and immerse yourself totally in woodworking for a day. The food isn't half bad either. Never saw a hungry woodworker at one of our gatherings.
