The first bowl is from honey locust. It's endgrain, taller than wide, 7" tall by 6" wide. The outside is finished with walnut colored danish oil. The inside is clear danish oil.
The second is a small bowl I re-turned from an ambrosia maple piece that was one of my first turnings. It was originally turned from a 6x6x2 block screwed to a face plate. It's been sitting on my workbench full of screws, shavings, and other clutter for a few years. I jam chucked it, turned a recess in the bottom for my chuck and returned the bowl to about the same shape but much thinner and added a small design around the edge, It still has the screw holes from the original face plate mounting.
