View Full Version : Filter Cartridge for Delta 50-850

I have a Delta 50-850 dust collector with bags.

I was wondering if there are any resonable priced filter cartridges (ala the Jet pictured below)???

I know you can buy a Jet filter for ~$250, but I was wondering if there are any cheaper options.

Any ideas??

I have the same DC and also considering the upgrade to a cartridge.
Penn State has a 20" filter that lists for $169 plus shipping that I am taking a very hard look at.
I like the option of putting the chips directly into a trash bag for disposal instead of fighting to get the lower bag back in place. And according to test reports, there is also an increase in CFM's.

FWW ran an article about DCs some months ago. They listed the brand of cartridge filter they used. I called the place and ordered a really nice cartridge for about $130. It works great on my Delta 50-850. Installation is easy. Sorry I don't recall the name of the company, but it is in the article.

Was it Wynn? I know they sell aftermarket filters.

Steve, Thanks for jarring my memory. That sounds right. I believe I had a very nice conversation with Mr. Wynn. I'd certainly recommend his product.

Try Amazon. Delta makes the 50-850A which is the same dust collector as yours (and mine) except it uses a 2 micron canister filter instead of a bag. The canister assembly is p/n 50-750 (see Gilbert's link) and will run you about $227 with the current promo. Why the change to the filter? Fwiw Delta has 1 micron bags for the 50-850.
