but is is for a Christmas present. Thought I would try something different, so I made a piggy bank out of some ornamental cherry (I think) and some scraps. I think I'll make another one, somewhat better, now that I see how I need to do it. The head is a pressure fit - like a lidded box, so' you can get the moo-lah out. Thoughts?

That's a cutie, Rick! Whimsical can be very popular with a lot of folks and this is a great piggy bank. Nice!

One suggestion would be to invent a way to insure that the "top" doesn't accidentally come off and spill the contents. Removable is good. Secure is a must...kids, especially, like to shake these things!
