I've been in the market for a good moisture meter that didn't break the bank. Granted, 76 bux isn't cheap, but the mini-ligno E typically runs about $110.

Matt,
Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered one. I have been looking for a quality meter for a good price and this fit the bill perfectly. In fact, I signed up for the Amazon.com Visa for the instant $30 discount, so I only paid $46 and change for it.

Thanks again,
Eric

Been meaning to ask this and this post finally got me to typing...

Is the difference between a $$$ (http://www.amazon.com/Wagner-MMC205-Digital-Shopline-Moisture/dp/B000063XI7/sr=8-9/qid=1161373875/ref=pd_bbs_9/102-3569619-8087328?ie=UTF8&s=hi) moisture meter and a $ (http://www.amazon.com/PSI-Woodworking-MMETER-Moisture-Meter/dp/B0006OC3FK/sr=8-2/qid=1161373483/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-3569619-8087328?ie=UTF8) moisture meter the convience of pin-less and larger range? Or are there huge shortcomings to a $ moisture meter?

I ask because I don't do a large amount of woodworking (a couple of real wood projects a year) and I typically use kiln dried wood. So bottom line is that I don't think I need a huge range or instant readout. But if a cheap meter is flawed in its accuracy, that is to be avoided.

Thanks,

If you need a good metal detector...add the the WIzard III for a total of 146...then spend $4 more and use SAVEMORE at checkout. Then you get the meter and metal detector for $125.
