It works fine. It has a fairly coarse bag so don't expect small particles to be trapped. Before I got my dust collector, I would set the trash can outside because it can create quite a cloud of dust.

One thing, you need a trash can with a lip around the rim or the bag can slip off. I used a rubbermaid 32 gallon plastic can and it worked well.

You are welcome to have my bag if you are interested. I took it off of the hose but you should be able to reconnect it to any 4 inch DC hose. PM me your address and I will send it to you.

It works well for chip collection and mess reduction :) dust collection is however...:(

The tables however are a must have.
