I was a wood-cutting-machine yesterday. I have a job due for delivery today and yesterday was crunch time. About 12 hours in the shop.

I made 8 cabinet doors and 9 drawer boxes.

There are 4 doors 10 3/8" wide by 34" tall and 4 doors 10 3/8" by 20 1/2". Poplar frames (2 1/4" rails and stiles, corner bead detail) and raised MDF panels. They are 3/8" lipped doors and have a 3/8" round over around the perimeter. Youngdale #4 hinges (2 on the short doors and 3 on the tall doors). All are already mounted and adjusted.

The drawer boxes are 1/2" baltic birch with 1/4" birch ply bottoms. All are 22" deep. 4 are 4 1/2" tall and 5 are 10" tall. 3 of the tall ones will be lateral files. Rabbet construction.

This morning, before an afternoon delivery today, I have to mount the drawers on slides and make 9 drawer fronts (5 pieces each) and make 10 shelves (MDF with poplar edging). And, this afternoon, I'll install the whole mess (2 cabinets: 2' wide, 2' deep and 8' tall; 1 hanging shelf: 5' wide and 4' tall; 1 drawer stack: 28" wide and 27" tall, plus a countertop.)

Should be another BUSY BUSY day! Oh, and the nice thing about this job - the client will paint it! YOO-HOO!

Todd.
