Hey, check out the boxmaker program at the link below.

http://www.instituteofthefuture.org/boxmaker/

Here's the discription from their website.

"BoxMaker is a little Java application that can generate the outlines for a box to be out of some material with a cutting device (ideally using wood/acrylic on a lasercutter!). You tell it the dimensions of the box (width, height, depth, material width), and it generates a PostScript file with the outlines for the 6 sides of the box. The dimensions are the outside lengths of the box. "

I can see this being used to make some quick and easy Xmas ornaments, by cutting stars, angels, and other designs into the sides ...and maybe gluing a colorful miniature toy snowman or something in the center of it. You could even cut a hole in the top of it to allow one of the small Xmas tree lights to protrude into it for a neat lighting effect.

The PS file it generates imports into Corel without any problem.

Thought you would like this! ... and it's free! (Actually, they would like a donation...see bottom of webpage, but it is VERY reasonalble)

I'm not Lee, but... That is a macro file. Put it in the GMS folder, found in the Corel folder, and then restart Corel. Go to Tools, Visual Basic, Play, and click on the down arrow next to "Macros in" and you should see it listed. All macros work the same, and you can even put a link to them on your toolbar - I don't know how, but it is possible. this is all based on X3, I don't know about previous versions.

Thanks....I've gotten that one...I thought you were offering a newer version or type....I am really concentrating on making wooden boxes big time...I'm now offering Pivot Point (for lack of a better name) Hinged, Slide-Lid and Seal-able closed lid type...with dimensions measuring down to 1 inch square and up to 1 foot square with any type lid specified.

With the program mentioned in this post "BoxMaker" I have really enjoyed opening all the possibilities to what boxes I can make..I have just scratched the surface....I have 4 vineyards within 5 miles of me that I am going to approach to make custom wine bottle Slide-Lid boxes...going to make Pet Urns....and Project kits for children to decorate their own boxes and so forth.... Look at Pencil Box Slide-Lid thread for another picture
